Penfabric supports “From Hearts to Hands – for Charity”
As caring corporate citizen, TGM constantly supports charity efforts for the needy. Towards this end, Penfabric donates its remnant assorted fabrics to a group of senior citizens deeply interested in sewing, especially patchworks. Calling themselves “From Hearts to Hands - for charity”, the group meets weekly to sew and share ideas on sewing projects. The handmade products are then sold at charity fairs and the proceeds are channelled to charity homes.
Recently in September 2014, the group participated in the charity fairs held at “St Nicholas’ Home for the Blind” and the “Silver Jubilee Home for the Aged”. Monthly, the Group also set up stall at Upper Penang Road Market to sell their patchworks. The funds so collected are donated to different needy individuals and organisations. Among the beneficiaries to-date are the Lighthouse, Mount Mariam Cancer Hospital, Society of St. Vincent De Paul, Penang Foh Yi Haemodialysis Society and Eden Handicap Service Centre.
TGM is indeed happy to work with “From Hearts to Hands - for charity” in these worthy causes. Our heartiest congratulation and well wishes to “From Hearts to Hands - for charity” for this noble objective.
