The concept for these unisex shoes is the idea of protection at a time of anxiety. The shoes are meant to give people who feel vulnerable a sense of strength, confidence and empowerment.
They break new ground in the field of sustainability by being made entirely leather-free, using an innovative Japanese material called Ultrasuede®.
My drive to use shoes as a form of protection stems from my long struggle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which is one of the most debilitating mental conditions. In my own case I have frequently felt anxious and want to use footwear to help combat this.
Ultrasuede® keeps evolving toward a future full of "Beautiful Possibilities."
